Gilchrist 5c At Carmel Music

Honey blonde done right. Here's a Gilchrist Classical model 5 mandolin with a single piece back, customized black tuners and tailpiece, and a Teens Gibson-style clamp holds the pickguard in place. You don't see many of these come up for sale, and this one has an oval-holed 4c right next to it on the for sale page.

Stunning 1924 Gibson H4 Mandola at Elderly Instruments

There aren't many scroll-bodied mandolas in circulation, and even fewer of them have truss rods. Here's one from 1924, smack-dab in the middle of the golden age of the Loar period at Elderly Instruments. Hats off to Elderly for some of the nicest mando-photography we've seen recently, as well as for presenting such a fantastic instrument for sale. It didn't last 24 hours, but then it's been years since we've even seen one from 1924 for sale, let alone one in such fantastic condition
