Description

here is a rare and fabulous 1931 F-5 with monster sound, pearl rectangular inlays beginning at the 3rd fret, triple top-bound body, headstock and tortoise plastic pickguard, pearl fern and "The Gibson" inlays in headstock, gold hardware, Waverly reverse tuners with pearl buttons (one new button), "The Gibson" tailpiece cover (plating worn), adjustable ebony bridge, sunburst finish flamed maple neck and body, parallel-braced carved spruce top, mother-of-pearl truss rod cover, on consignment, exceptional sound and condition, finish checking on back and front, from a batch of instruments some of which were more reminiscent of 1929 models, with green-lined oblong OHSC (SN:90446)
