VG-EC, pumpkin color carved spruce top, pearl "The Gibson" inlaid in headstock, unbound ebony fretboard with pearl dot inlays, ivoroid-bound top, ebony brige, early style "The Gibson" engraved tailpiece, 4-in-a-line tuners with ivoroid buttons, dual b-w-checkerboard-w-b purfling
rings around soundhole, pickguard missing, 10-1/2" lower bout, ~14" scale, 1-1/4" nut width, center seam of neck reglued in peghead area (peghead veneer had cracked down center of front and has been repaired), "Orville" label with picture of Orville Gibson and lyre-mandolin, with original tooled leather case (quite worn)
