Description

Very good plus condition due to playing wear, structually excellent. Beautiful flamed maple back and sides - this one of the prettiest sunbursts and back wood I have seen on a 20s Gibson. This mandolin spent most of its time playing in a mandolin orchestra. Its been well played and shows numerous nicks and dings. It also has a huge voice for the same reason - the sound was played into this one. Loar era instrument with a truss rod in the neck and the adjustable bridge. Pickguard is original but has been repaired. Tuned like a tenor guitar CGDA low to high. Scale length of 15 1/2 inches is slightly longer and the body is slightly larger than a mandolin.
