Mandolin, Style A
Factory order number unknown
I really like road warriors - well played instruments that usually sound superior. If they don't sound good, people wouldn't play them so much. This is a very strong sounding carved top mandolin - very loud, one of the loudest in the shop. Good woody deep tone as its 80+ years old. Sheraton Brown top finish (whats left of it) is original. Original tuners and tailpiece, reproduction Loar era bridge and missing the pickguard. Neck is straight, some minor fingerboard grooves but nothing of concern, and the frets are in good shape.
