Mandolin, Style F4
Factory order number unknown
This 1920 Gibson F-4 sounds excellent, and has the most beautiful dark red sunburst finish you can imagine. There are very few modifications to this one, everything is original. Double flowerpot peghead, original tuners, non-adjustable bridge and tailpiece assembly. Original frets show very little wear, and it has excellent playability as far up as you want to go. There is noticable wear to the top, including the shadow of the original guard attachment and some discoloration in that vicinity that can be seen in the pictures (the pickguard is not available). The headstock scroll has a repaired crack, and the footprint of the bridge's original incorrect position is visable. The original hard case is included. Serial #55361 (shipped 1920), no FON visable.
