VG-EC except repaired heel crack and standard repair to scroll on top of peghead, early 3-point body style, black top finish, inlaid tortoise plastic pickguard with pearl border and fancy design inlaid, Handel inlaid ivoroid tuner buttons, white-bound ebony fretboard with pearl dot inlays, ebony bridge, early "The Gibson" engraved tailpiece cover, pearl "The Gibson" inlaid in headstock, small frets, back has shrunk slightly and is reglued at tailpiece end, scarf joint in neck appears original
