Description

EC-, carved spruce top with tortoise plastic pickguard inlaid into top, fancy pearl design inlaid in pickguard, dual checkerboard purfling rings around oval soundhole, walnut back and sides, 19-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, 1-1/8" nut width, ~14-1/2" scale length, white-bound top, ebony bridge, early style "The Gibson" engraved tailpiece, pearl "The Gibson" and fancy inlay in paddle-shaped headstock, 4-in-a-line tuners with ivoroid buttons, "Orville" label with picture of Orville Gibson and lyre-mandolin, a nice early example, with end loading SSC (SN:3092)
