Mandolin, Style F2
Serial 28292
Factory Order number: 2908
Description
Excellent condition showing minor playing wear. The F2 is the same mandolin as the top of the line scroll F4, but with less fancy cosmetics. It has the overall red finish with a slight sunburst, two piece back, pearl logo, bound top and bound ebony fingerboard with treble extension. Finish and hardware appear original. Nice big woody sound from this mandolin with good bass! Neck is straight, neck angle is good and the frets are fine. The big scroll on the peghead was apparently broken off and replaced as the grain does not match exactly and you can see a line on the upper top edge, but it is an excellent repair as you cannot see the repair on either the face or the back of the peghead.
