GIBSON A-4 (1915)
VG-EC, black carved spruce top, birch red-stained sides and one-piece back, mahogany neck joins body at 10th fret, 21-fret ebony fingerboard with treble side extension and pearl dot inlays, 1-3/16 nut width, ~14 scale, oval soundhole with ivoroid binding, ivoroid soundhole rosette with inlaid wood rope pattern on each side, ivoroid-bound body and fretboard, fleur-de-lis and The Gibson pearl inlays in headstock, 4-on-a-plate Handel tuners with ivoroid buttons, original nonadjustable ebony bridge, The Gibson engraved tailpiece, tortoise plastic pickguard stamped PAT.MAR.30.'09 , pickguard bracket stamped PAT.JULY 4, 1911 , back and sides have areas of dull finish caused by instrument being in case for extended time.
